About Us

Accessible Portugal Online Magazine is a bimonthly publication which pretends to show you a singular country, where people with disabilities may seize the same opportunities as everyone else. Here you can find a beautiful seaside country, with a unique culture, a huge history and a different atmosphere.

However, Accessible Portugal seeks more than offering a great set of choices for your holidays. In our company, we understand that disabled people deserve a complete access not only to the physical places, but also to the information. So, APOM became more than a travel magazine.

Since its creation, in August 2006, APOM has presented some of the incredible happenings related with our community. Our goal is to spread all over the world the stories which prove that disability doesn't mean a passive life. Here you will find stories of men and women who dedicate their life to improve the conditions of disabled people. Some of them work in valuable associations, other have created meaningful resources for our community and there are even several examples of those who are breaking barriers in spite of their disability.

Now, in 2009, APOM is moving towards a more ambitious point of its existence so to be distinguished from the previous phases, it will be called AP Magazine.

We hope you like it.
